Well, I have come a long way in the last two years of this journey. I decided in 2015 at the age of 30 I wanted more out of life than what I currently had. At that point, I changed my mind that I was to blame for all my failures and achievements. At that time, I was just getting done with a divorce, moving across the country for work and still figuring out who I was and what I wanted out of life.
I started off slowly by reading blogs and websites. I realized quickly that finances were a huge part of life that I really did not fully understand. I realized debt was bad and that I needed to start to save more. Little did I know at the time that I would be where I am at today. I am completely amazed at what focus and changing my mentality has done for my life.
I love saying “focus on your priorities and spend all your time and resources on them” It’s hard to say that has affected me the most, yet I can say it was a cornerstone of why I accomplished many of my goals so far. I often hear people having a million excuses why they can’t create the life they want. I often tell them to keep that up and you never will. In fact, I bet you will be in the same position in life this time next year with the same excuses.
My goal is to help guide people’s focus to create the life they dream about. The one they could achieve with just the right push in the right direction. I am still so amazed that I now have created this platform to reach people. Never in my wildest dreams did I think two years ago I would be writing about finances on my own website. I have also increased my net worth by 400% in the last two years. All of that because of a little thing called focus.
What’s your point
You are probably asking yourself what is your point of all this. My point was to give a brief snapshot of my journey. To show that we can all create the life we want. To let people, know that focus is a crucial tool in finances and life. I still have many more long-term goals to achieve. I’m still on this journey and it’s just starting. I can’t wait to continue to share my journey with all of you.
